Conklin's Gully, part of the sprawling 6800-acre High Tor Wildlife Management Area in Naples, NY, is adjacent to the upland unit of the WMA. The only formal trails that explore this gully follow the rim and have several stunning scenes of the gorge and Angel Falls. Exploration (creek hiking) of the gorge is permitted but challenging.
How to get there
12 Falls Trail
Hard
Do not attempt the 12 Falls Trail unless you are in good physical condition. Terrain conditions have slippery rocks and stone. Portions of the trail will have climbing rope in steep areas.
Route type: Technically an out and back but it does connect to the rim trail loop.
Length: 2.6 miles
Rim Trail
Hard
Do not attempt the rim trail unless you are in good physical condition. Lots of roots, uneven ground, and the steep inclines/declines can be quite strenuous.
